flashed it with the 2/17 bios and soon after got no post. have tried removing the battery, clearing cmos, pulling the power cable, reset switch, etc.. and none of it works. so the only thing I can think of now is that my bios is corrupt. my question is, how exactly do I do the "hot swap" or whatever to try to bring my infinity back? I have a bios chip from an NF7, so can I use that or do I need to buy something else?
btw, Do all Inifinity boards have the Winbond bios chip? and can I use an A7N8X bios chip as well?
any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

mine died as well, just 2 days after im got it... and i didnt even really oc it!
didnt change any settings, just rebooted and prrrxxxxx the screen went black and the board never booted again
what does your board do when you push the power button? on my board all the leds work great, all fans start to spin for half a second and then stop... tried 3 diferent cpus, hdds, psus ,memory sticks and videocards! always the same thing :(

Yes, when I hit power, all the fans and LEDs power on and stay on. You said that your board powers down after the first few seconds...mine does not. Not sure what that means at this point. Also, I have checked the voltages throughout the board to make sure the NB or something along those lines was not dead...all are within what they should be.
any ideas?

to hot flash, stick the bios chip in an already running NF7-S or something, and then flash using winflash, then take it out, then put back the original bios chip

I flash this way->
download the newest AWDFLASH available at www.abit-usa.com(8.42F I think, or maybes 8.24F well whatever it is!)
download the bios you want(in your case N24ID121.BIN)
put them on your c drive in C:\Bios
go into your bios and select "Load optomized defaults" and reboot using a ms-startup disk to boot to dos
go to C:\Bios and type
AWDFLASH N24ID121.BIN /py /sn /cd /cp /cc
press f1 to reboot it should post...if it doesnt unplug your powersupply for 3-5 seconds, turn on the power hold insert, it probably wont post, then hit reset and hold insert and it will post
anytime my board doesnt post(and I am using Alpha 217 so this HAPPENS ALOT LOL) I just switch off the PSU, hit power + insert then hit reset + insert and it always boots
HOPE THIS HELPS! GOOD LUCK!

thanks wildkard. that helps. I have never flashed my bios in dos, only in windows (used to flashmenu with the NF7), so all this is new.
when u say "go to C:\Bios and type.." what exactly do u mean? how do I "go to"?
and Im guessing I hit ENTER after typing "AWDFLASH N24ID121.BIN /py /sn /cd /cp /cc" correct?
sure u didnt miss anything right? dont wanna screw up this bios again. ;)

At the prompt A:\> type in "C:" and youll be at "C:\>"
then type "C:\>cd Bios" and youll be in "C:\Bios>" which is where you will type the flash command, and yes you hit enter after typing the command
I am sure I havent missed anything GOOD LUCK! the 121 bios is great :) It posts 99% of the time I reboot with it! thats always a good sign hahahaha
