Not a bad cpu... :D SL6WU here ;) Under 226W pelt and water a bit over ambient temp ;)

Super PI 32M daily-use freq, 226W pelt @ 9V , h20 25°C. 3:2 DDR... 2,73V...

4GHz is nice, but thats easy with such intense cooling. now on air thats a different story ;)

Nice. What block and whats taking that heat out of the water for ya, (rad/fan)?

Mine chip did only 3.8Ghz on air with 1.6V! I'll try with more Vcore...........

Nice results Diablo, bit high on the voltage in a couple of those, but still nice..

Speaking from experience? 4ghz isn't easy, even with xtreme cooling, it takes a GOOD processor! All the cooling in the world isn't going to help a poor chip make 4ghz plus... A good chip will do 4 on air.. Maybe you should stick to your areas of expertise and NOT belittle other peoples acomplishments.

4G isn't easy and it takes a lot of effort and skill to get those pelts set up. Nice job!!

These D1 (AEP) processors are quite rough stuff :D
Seen many of them doing 4GHz with air cooling.

They seem to be Mobile chips, with enchanced process (two added metal-layers, P4 EE alike package). They are even OFFICIALLY rated to 1.25V - 1.4V :D

I was not making fun of him, I said its good, but people can get that on air. a 4GHz on air would do much better with xtreme cooling. something like mid 3GHz on air is his 4GHz with peltier

Here's mine:

Thanks to all guys... another thing that it's not true is that 4 ghz on pelts equals to mid 3 ghz with air cooling talking about difficulty... here I have 4 ghz with 1,47Volts! for example, my chip does 3900 mhz ROCK STABLE @ 1,62V with plain WC 25°C... With pelts and extremely good contact (-17 idle temp at 4 ghz default vcc is very good for 20°C h20 and 226W pelt) it does 4200 mhz 1,872V and 4 ghz with 1,47V...

Gf4ti4200, some are doing it on air, ok, but i think you have to admit that 4 ghz at 1,47V (heavily downvolted, default is 1,55V) is quite a good result... this is 24/7 cooling!!! 25°C water with radiator and 2 x 120x120 fans running@full speed ;)

Yep, it is! Even the XtremeProphet should admit that the SL6WU is a good chip! :)

Well i'm on air:

My SL6WU doesnt even do 240 fsb on air with stock volts...
i am pushing 1.616V idle 1.52Vload and am running @ 3600 on the intel stock cooler (still havent tested prime)waiting for my mach 2 gt to arrive...

u guys are getting such clocks on the stock heatsinks?

perhaps my sl6wu isnt such a good clocker after all compared with your clocks

im on koolance water which is just a bit better than air

Does anyone have a SL6WU/K ES? Or one on phase change?

Very nice for those temps and volts :toast: :toast:
I might have to pick up a SL6WU/K and a recharged Mach I....
