What do you guys use to cool NB on DFI Infinity/LP?

With FSB higher than 270MHz FSB, active cooling is a must!?!

I think the stock cooler for the nb is pretty good

the thermalright nb-1 cooler I have now doesn't help get

my 270+ fsb more stable

the stock nb cooler to sb mod does help :toast:

I use a Zalman gold passive sink with a small radioshack fan superglued to it. Works like a champ.

On my old DFI I tested 80W peltier@12V on NB but doesn't helped to gain some more FSB:(

Ouch, your geil doesn't go any faster even with 3.2v?

Same here :) It looks great and performs great! If you want cool temps its a must, it doesnt really gain you much FSB though, I got about 7 more with it

no, what u want is a big cpu heatsink (http://webpages.charter.net/chinesetricycle/pc%20pics/Hamster_DFI.jpg) on the NB like on mine.

 ;) :D

swifty mcx159 is leetx0r. however flyinghamsters method is even better :D the microcool northpole looks fkn awesome... i got stock nb cooler on my a7n8x-e deluxe ... i was wondering if you guys think a vantec iceberq 4 would outdo it?

well though the iceberq 4 isnt known to cool that well, Im pretty sure it will cool better than that stock hs considering it will be active and blowin air

Heh, same setup as me, except i use a thermaltake fan :) works well, and never had the NB get hot n bothered yet :)

hmm..i havent tried that. i was afraid 3.0+ might be too much for this "civilian" ram.
I used to have BH5 and i ran @ 250fsb for months 'till i traded my BH5 for the Geil.

 You trade BH-5 for Geil????

Those sticks should take it easily... I 've often seen people with their Geil at 3,2V :)

P.S. When I am cooling my cpu with phasechange there's a cpu waterblock on nb... now I have mounted a crystal orb there in the same way :D

i only had 256mb of BH5 that i traded for 512mb of geil. definetly worth it. the 512 mb @ 200mhz/crap timings made my system perform way better than 256mb @ 250mhz/2-2-2-2-11

SAE

But wouldn't you be better off if you bought another 256mb stick aditionally...

240dc 2,0-2-2-11 is worth it ;)

I doubt it depends on your watercooling... hmm. I watercooled my nb too, once my prom was fine, but I never gained something. Currently I am cooling it with a crystal orb and it's as stable/unstable ;) as before...

But of course it could be... :D Just not for me. I'll try it again when I got new phasechange ;)
