I'm starting all new. Today i almost bought an A64 cpu/mobo but i feel like i'm being riped off getting any of the mobos. I got no problem getting any cpu but when it comes to mobos, it makes me sick, really sick.

Out of these,

Shuttle AN50R
Asus K8V SE DELUXE
Abit KV8-MAX3
MSI K8T NEO-FIS2R
Albatron K8X800 Pro ll

Which's got the highest vdimm, vcore ? Easy modder ?

I know all about the agp/pci, lock/no luck, don't wanna bother with that.

Should i wait just a little bit and get either the NF3 250Gb or K8T800 Pro, mostly cause of the agp/pci locks ?

My intensions were to wait for the 939 mobos but something came up and i gotta go for something now, don't wanna spend too much now cause i'll still be getting the 939.

Thank you guys.

LOL, just wrote a long response to everyone, previewed, hit back, all disappeared.

Anyway, thanx for the replies.

939 - Thing is by the time i'll buy one, till it's introduced, till wait and see which will be the better mobo, it'll be July/August. So, i think i'm gonna go for a 754 now, no choice since i'm on a PIII.

Why the Gigabyte K8N ?

the gigabyte serie´s are very strong in OC.. most boards do 350 stock so no chipset volt mod is needed. The board is also very stable at high clocks. Only "downside" is that you need a relative high 3.3V to reach high vdimm (around 3.7-3.8 for 3,3Vdimm)

Ok bias_hjorth, i was gonna go for the AN50R but i'll give the K8N PRO a try. AGP locked, right ?

So, @ 350 fsb, what's the mem running @ ?

I'm gonna go for the 3000+, paying $60 more for the extra cache of the 3200+ worth it ?

AGP is locked yes..
350fsb you´ll pick the mem speed.. just an exsample :) the extra cache is worth is IMHO

Will the Gigabyte handle 2x512 easily, or will it leave a bad taste in meh mouth? ;)

Seriously thou, I'd like to know how it is running 2x512.

I used my 2X 512 TwinMOS 3200 BH-5s in em without any trouble.

I can't say the same for my SHuttle.
