Hi all.

Here's what I got:

Abit kv8-max3 rev.1.2
a64 3200+ step.CO
2x256 winbond bh-5
chieftec 420 w

The problem is I can't max out this stuff.

For example, I put 1.65 VCore on 2200MHz. Systems starts up, but 3dmark01 is unstable at these clocks. Mem doesn't hold 220mhz 2-2-2-5 @ 2.8VMem. I can put 3.2 VMem, but winXP doesn't boot when VMem is above 2.8. I tried to put 100MHz on mem, that way I could bench @ 2200MHZ. But I can't go higher... I tried 1.8 VCore - winXP doesn't boot. I tried only one stick of ram. Tried another... Different slots.... still there... I think it's mem... because windows doesn't boot @ VMem above 2.8, but as I know, bh-5 likes high voltage.

Maybe i should grab some special options in bios?

ps I'm using stock cooler

thx

strange... maybe your PSU can't provide wattage enough for the 3.2 v-mem?

you´d tried clockgen`?
the choice for OC on the a64 :)

1) Default voltage for 2200MHz okay?
2) Relax the Ram timings and/or lower the ram frequency to find out it is caused by CPU or RAM?
3) And what is your display card? K8T800 has no AGP lock.

Too much voltage is not good if no proper cooling.

I can get stable system @ 2200 only with VCore 1.7

I tried to run my mem with loose timings @ 100MHz. Still nothing.

Maybe me mobo is a piece of $hit?
Anybody have anything positive about this mobo?

Also Clockgen doesn't work. The "Clocks" button is inactive. I've downloaded the correct version. What is it?
