Well I'm getting ready to mod my 9800pro tonight or tomorrow night, and I wanted to get some sinks on my ram. I've got some tweakmonsters that I lapped down to a nice shine. What I really need to know is what is the best way to put these suckers on?
I've heard of people using strait arctic alumina, a mix of arctic alumina and as5, only as5 with hot glue on the cornders holding it on, and as5 with superglue on the corners holding them on. I mainly want what is going to provide the best heat transfer. What has worked best for you? Some pictures and results would be great:)
Thanks!

I very much doubt there is enough differance between what TIM or adhesive you use to be noticable. Just no frag tape!

use thermal adhesive for best results.
super glue, or hot glue sounds like it would do more harm than good.

mix arctic silver thermal adhesive with arctic silver 3 to make it so that you can get the heatsinks off later if you want, otherwise they'll be on there forever.

would arctic silver 5 or 3 be best? Also, what ratio of thermal adhesive to arctic silver is best?

i mix arctic silver adhesive with shin etsu in a 50/50 ratio. i can still get them off if i need, but they don't budge, and it is quite well for heat transfer (the ramsinks get nice and toasty). my 2 cents

i'd probably use arctic silver ceramiqe adhesive or whatever it's called. regular arctic silver bothers me because of its conductivity.
anyway, pretty much any adhesive in a VERY thin layer should work just fine.
I used Zalmon thermal Adhesive ...if ur not worried about taking them off ever again (like me) ...then dont mix it with thermal paste ...use Arctic silver adhesive or Zalmons:
Heres a pix of mine (altho u cant really see the much of the ram sinks):

alright guys. I think that I'm going to go with strait adhesive, because I've already voided my warenty by taking off the gpu shim. And I'm going to be volt moding it too, so they will be there to stay.

well guys, I got the ram sinks put on. I used the arctic alumina that I had and a little bit of as5. They went on without any problems. It has been about 4-5 hours since I put them on, would they be attached good enough to start using the computer?

Should be NP to use it now - epoxy is normally at 90% or better bond after 1 hour.

Wahoo!!!! I turned it on and I sucessfully did the vgpu and vdd mods on my card!!! I am stoked. At first the video didn't come on and my computer started beeping. It turned out that I was so nervous that I forgot to plug the molex into my card :) Runs great now though. It seems that my vdd was undervolting quite a bit only at 2.79 on default instead of 2.9
