Difference between Corsair 3200LLPT vs 3200LL?

Hi, I have 2x256 Corsair XMS 3200LL and 2x256 Corsair XMS 3200LLPT, both v1.1, what is the difference other than the name?

I just figured it out, PT = Platinum and non PT = black... :)
Getting my infinity today and we'll see which goes higher

I think that the LL are rated to run 2-3-2-6 and the LLPT are rated to run 2-2-2-5

no, v1.1 LL's are rated 2226 regardless of PT or non PT

The only thing that matter is what's underneed the spreaders. V1.1 is BH-5 :D. others is CH-5 or worse

And the spreaders don't do al lot. First thing I do is rip them off, and my mem is much colder then with the heatspreaders on. So the color isn't important to me. :D

I wouldn't take off the heatspreaders because the warrenty would be void, and a stick of my 3200 khx just went bad and I got to RMA, so taking heatspreaders off IMO is not a good idea.

Cant you put them back on? Or is there a tim that wouldnt go back on right :rolleyes:

i think once you take it off...you need to put new tim on it cuz it won't stick anymore
