i hope all the voltmodders here can tell me something.
yesterday i was at 260 2-2-2-11 at 3.5v but it wasnt quite stable. so last night i Primed at 3.6v, was stable, but now my bandwidth efficiency is down from 97% to 88%. i put the voltage and FSB back and its still the same.
this shot is at 250 2-2-2-11. notice my last bench at 250 with 2.5-2-2-2-11. its over 100Mbps higher. and i forgot all about that 240 in there. no idea how i got almost 3700 with that. i think i broke my RAM, or its been dying since that 240 bench. anything i can do?

Have you touched other memory related settings in the BIOS?
More likely you've accidently changed the setting. Or have you flashed to different BIOS?

no, nothing.
+0.1v, Prime, now this. backed down to 240 @ 3.3 and its up to 93% efficient. i used to see 95-98 though.

just rebooted and got 3180, 81%. i havent been overclocking very long, but dont ever remember Sandra's mem test jumping all over like this on any sysyem ive run it on. is it normal?

What about 3DMark? Is there a drop in performance as well?

i havent bothered with 3DMark since i had to put this Voodoo back in, so i dunno.
ill let it chill out a couple days and see if it goes back to normal.

Seems xtremely unlikely it will go away on it's own. By the way, how much do you get with a Voodoo 4 :) in 3dMark?

so this isnt anything to worry about?

While the 'main' numbers do sort of matter, they tend to vary (for me at least) by at least 20-50 each test, and thats after a fresh boot with pretty much nothing else running. Not only that, but they don't really prove much, pc4000 may beat bh-5 in sandra but lots of people (including Macci) have stated, and proven that bh-5 is faster when it comes to real stuff. So we can easily draw from that the conclusion that you might as well ignore sandra when it comes to testing for real preformance. Doesn't mean you shouldn't use sandra at all, just that you should remember that when you bench sandra, you're benching for magic sandra points, and not an indication on real life preformance :D
Perhaps if you have any previous 3dmark scores you can compare them or somthing to (hopefully) reassure yourself.

i realize the numbers will vary from test to test and system to syste, but im irritated because my score are dropping for no apparent reason besides raising my Vdimm. that, and last week i blew my case fan headers with a multimeter and also lost onboard sound somehow. :p: this is the third board ive mangled since Christmas. but i just know i beat the crap outta my XMS with 3.6v and 16+ hours of Prime.
:dammit:
and no, i dont have any previous 3DMark scores since i got this setup. i had a GF4 that died while i ran a desktop Barton on an A7N8X with CH-5 XMS, so those scores wont tell me anything about whats happening here.

umm what multi are u using? multis under 10 =    performance

is that "sh1t" ?
or banana banana banana banana?
ive kept it under 10 cause 2500 is around the proc's max.

I think it is safe to say then it's the low multiple stuffing up the performances.. it does this too on the NF7-S and 8RDA+

wow, youre right.. its back to 94% with 10x. i dont ever remember it doing this though. i started the FSB OC at 8 cause i knew the proc only does 2500. i know i got to 260 with the biggest scores ive seen so far. weird.
well whatever, thanks for everyone's infoz.

Is that 10x deal for single sided sticks? Cause I've got double sided 512's now and at 8x or 9x I've got 3712 with 94% and no change at 10x or above. But like I said, I'm pretty sure I remember getting these numbers with my 256's also.

what bios are you using?

1/21. Now bandwidth starts to drop at 8x, but 9x is still fine. I don't really get it.

I dont have problems with lower multi's, although b/w isn't as good as with 10x and above its still not as bad as what your getting
i get 97/90, if i dropped all the background apps i had running mebbe 97/91 or 97/92 :toast:
edit - bios 12-18 in this screenie btw :)
