Kingston pc2700 :p:

Very nice results though. Is it stable at that speed with the voltage, or are you just taking shots?

I got 4 sticks of this chips and all of them capable of doing 300 fsb @ 3.3v SC.
1. 2 X 256MB Hyundai PC2700
2. 2 X 512MB Kingston Value RAM PC2700

It wasn't stable at 300 fsb @ 3.2v. The stable was 280 fsb. At 300 fsb, I need 3.5GHz to get it stable at SC but can't get it stable on DC.

What about dual channel?

DC needs 3.5v at 300 fsb but it's not stable. Check the link on my first post for DC. Can't do that with 2 X 512MB though.

dam, and u can get 256 of pc2700 from kingston's site for $30, i might have to check some of this stuff out

have you tried going low with the latencies at high volts and low speed (200-240mhz) and seeing what they can do

2.5-4-4-7 @ DC @ 3.5v
2.5-3-3-7 ~ 285 fsb

2.5-3-3-7 @ 285 1:1 may be good enough to match some BH-5 at 5:4 2-2-2-5 I think...not sure though.

That is awesome for some cheap 2700!

A bit warm weather so I can't get 2.5-3-3-7 today but 2.5-4-4-7 at 285 fsb 1:1. Here's the comparison:

2 x 256MB Hynix BT-J PC2700 2.5-4-4-7 @ 285 fsb 1:1
Sandra Unbuffered ~ 3115/3116
Sandra Buffered ~ 6207/6209

2 X 256MB Kingston Value RAM PC2700 2-2-2-5 @ 285 fsb @ 5:4
Sandra Unbuffered ~ 3006/3081
Sandra Buffered ~ 6112/6101

Low numbers on BH-6 chips (you may call it cheaps too) due to PAT disabled on my AI7. I can only enable PAT at 280 fsb @ 5:4 and 250 fsb @ 1:1:)

Don't compare using Sandra....test them in 3DMark01, that is usually the best indicator...

At those settings you just posted, the BH-5 IS faster even though the bandwidth shows lower.

is it true that 5:4 of 300fsb with bh5 at 240MHz 2-2-2-5 is just as fast as 1:1 at 3-4-4-8? still nice for ram costing half of what bh5 does! I had bh5 but sold it when my corsair value did just as good, both did 220fsb at 2-2-3-11 anyway(the mushkin 2-2-2-11 but its only worth 100 marks more) and I paid $70 for corsair value

No, the BH-5 is quite a bit faster at those settings.
