I recently got my p4c800-e and i upgraded from a p4p800 non deluxe. on my old board i was able to run 232 FSB with a 3.2c ram @ 1:1 2-2-2-5(pat hacked) but the problem i had was with artifacting,... so I picked up the p4c and now when i run the same settings prime dies in less than a minute, but memtest went on for hrs 85 passes no problems. But i get into windows and prime dies almost instantly and superpi fails. WHAT GIVES?

I have did both vdimm and droop mods on the board(alternate points for droop). ram is running at 3.1 volts and is bh-5.

P.S if i run the ram @ 5:4 2-2-2-5 everything passes no problems.
TIA

BTW my artifacting is gone with the new board.

Maybe try and switch the Ram around, try different bios maybe.

Try to up a little bit the Vcore and after that the Vdimm to understand if ther is any difference and wath is responsable for it. The P4C800-E have more things on board and maibe he need a little more of power.

Edit: Post at same time than the master. You should follow the advice from the master first:D

the one thing i did notice is the my 5v and my 12v lines dropped a little when i put in this new board. before they were 12.13 and 5.1 almost all the time. on this board they are 11.80 and 4.89 all the time. The memory did do a 85 pass on memtest without any error so i dont think the vdimm needs to go up.

That could be a good explanation to not archive so good results.
