Hi guys,
I am getting weird problems atm. My VCORE under stress with the max 3 is like this
set at 1.65
fluctuates from 1.58min
while as on my max2
set at 1.625
fluctuates to 1.6 min
Seems that the max 2 is better. Also what about the asus p4c800? Does that vcore fluctuate a lot?
I don't know how to vmod and stuff yet, so can't do that atm.
Is my max 3 normal or should i try another mobo?
Thanks

Maybe your PSU isn't doing it's job properly? Or have you ruled that one out completely? Several ppl have complained about the max3s capability of holding voltages.

My IC7-G drops by 0.025 max
My IC7-MAX3 drops by 0.06max
My 8KNXP drops by 0.00000
My ic7 has problems with my mushin @280 5/4 and haev to run at 3/2
My 8kNXp has NO PROBLEMS with mushkin @280 5/4
My IC7 offers lots of voltage
My Gigabyte jumps from 1.6 -1.68 and then to max of 1.76
Dont forget my IC7-mAX3 with 2.8+vdimm will fluctuate so much that it makes me dizzy.
And I know its not my psu:)

Apparently the max2 power supply 'system' is better then the max3's which is a pretty big joke. I forget which user here said it, but he uses a dexter avatar. He didn't say that excatly, but he said that his max2 was a lot better at handling the prescott and ee cpus, which eat more power.
Asus is one of the WORST in this.
Example on my P4P800.. set 1.7V on BIOS.. comes down to ~1.58-1.6 under full load.
These things need the droop mod BAD. Might be bit because of my PSU too with the Vapo, but its mainly the mobo.

lol
Sounds like my 8rda+ that swings .15v (.07v either way).
Droop mod is what you want, and maybe an "isen" mod.
Yeah, gonna see what a new PSU is gonna do.. and then judge if [ i suck at soldering.. ] i have to take a risk ;).
Oh and that new PSU is a PC P&C 510W...
