I was at a comp show this weekend and every vendor had a SL6WU for sale. I couldn't resist and picked one up from the least expensive booth. I was pretty excited until I opened the box and saw that it had the old D1 cap arrangement. I installed it anyway and to my supprise it booted right away at 3.75G. After some tinkering I was able to get several first for any comp that I've owned

At 1.75 vcore I was able to boot into windows at 267 5/4 (4.09G). Not very stable but long enough for a screen shot using cpu-z.

At 1.725 was able to run spi at 265 1/1 (3.98G) and my best score of 34s.

At 1.725 was able to bench 2001se at 264 1/1 (3.965G) and became a member of the 25K club for the first time http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7686731

This was all on Air. I have screen shot but no place to host them.

BTW, I also scored a set of bh-5 p3200 hyperX 256s for $120. Funny thing is after I took of the heat spreader the chip were marked windbond bh-5. I though Kingston relabed there chips. Either way I've had them up to 260 at 3.5v 2225.

I know this type of post is boring, but was so excited I had to tell someone.

Thanks guys. oc-rookie, thanks for the compliment, Bugs it is. At least on the ARC. If you changed your driver you'd smoke me easily in am3

Edit: The XT is somewhat lessened of late. I had a fan header fry which had the fan to my card on it. Since I've only managed 534. I wonder if reaplying thermal compond will help.

Saw your new score. Dam you, see what I mean I just put my volt mod back on my card and made a run and you already had a higher score.

Great clocks on air man. I'm air cooled on the videocard as well. What are your volts? Mine are 2/3 gpu/mem.

Here's my new score. Check the cpu score....

Wow, what a deal. I would just comment that several HyperX chips were not rebadged and remain with Winbond labeling.

$220 plus tax. Not too bad. I think they'll have another one in the beginning of May.

Yeah, I don't think they knew what they had. I wish I could have gotten there earlier the set I got was the last one they had. They were selling 512 pairs the day before.

Use the attach file option. Hit the browse key, navigate to the file, and click it or hit enter after it has been highlighted.

That's it you should see what you see in this screenhost. With the C:\Documents and Settings.........

Don't hit preview or the file will go away. You can always edit the post if there's a mistake.

It varied from vendor to vendor. The booth I bought the cpu from is the same one that was selling the bh-5 for $120. If you add tax though it cost about $240. Still not too bad.

Dude, you should get phase change. I've got a 3.2c that runs 265-270 under a stock mach2, that you could do some damage with. You've got my pipe dream..... your ram that runs 260+ 2/2/2/5...:slobber:

Your scores on an air cooled xt made me mod my card. If you get phase change PM me. I'll send you my 3.2c for testing. It would match your ram perfectly....

Thanks oc-rookie

That's a great compliment and a very nice offer. Unfortunatley I can't afford a prommie at the moment. I wish I could. Maybe I'll investigate making one of your own. In the mean time I'm just having a hell of a time getting this 3.0 stable at a decent speed. Looks like I'll have to be satisfied with 257. Oh well, I was hopping to make better use of my ram, but that's the breaks.
