swapped mobos today, went out and finally got myself a brand new Asus P4P800 mobo! took out the old Asus P4S533. very fast, everything seems to have new life! applications are openning faster it seems like.
:)

30,408 pts in aquamark3 stock. time to go change my sig. heh

Dual channel gave me huge memory bandwidth in Sis Sandra 2004. I was only getting 2450mb/sec before with my old p4s533.

Is that unbuffered sisoft, You should be getting more than that if it's not. what memory??

Buffered score you should be in the 5k's easy.

Buffered score you should be in the 5k's easy. I used unbuffered PC2700 ram and P4B 2.8ghz 533fsb cpu.

here is another run.

3:4 @ 177mhz, 2.5-3-3-6 timings

30,815pts (http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=478246757) updated Aquamark3 with performance timings

my 3dmark2001 went up to from 12.2k to 12,875 pts (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7678415) no o/c

didn't know how big a difference a mobo can make!

No he means did you run the test unbuffered.

But no that is a buffered score, you have to remember he is only at 133fsb.

But then again, my 2.4b gets almost 3000 in single channel on 845PE...

maybe sell off the 2.8b and buy a 2.4c? ... (u shudn't be losing much money, if u sell it to the right person) performance gain will be great!

My ram is on turbo mode @ 177mhz , 3:4. Hasn't crashed yet. i'm glad i purchased this mobo, just downloaded 1016 bios yesterday and flashed it. I used asus liveupdate utility.

the mobo was $139 total from my local computer shop.

Yeah, by all means pick up a 2.8C, but if you see a Prescott, run for the hills. :)

Now that I have thought about it some more...

...I don't think you are in dual channel. That is just way too low.

2.4A Prescott is not the same as a 2.8E:rolleyes:. Did you ever notice a 2.4C OC better then a 2.8C too? Its the same thing, its not becoze one categorie is good that the other is good too.

Is there an option to check to run unbuffered?

In the option panel of the bandwith screen you uncheck all the CPU related and uncheck the buffered.....

is it harder to get a high unbuffered score then?

Don't buy a Prescott no matter what you think you know about them, listen to these guys grab a 800fsb p4, and you should be set.
