Anyone know where I can get some 172mm fans?
Or just fans larger than 120mm in general?
I'm hand-building a custom case, and needless to say... there's gonna be some airflow. ;)

Or more specifically, ones that work on just normal 12V.
I found some 28 and 48v ones, but those wouldn't like my PC. c.c
I found a few, but they don't use Molex connectors. So any advice on how to wire them? c.c

Hey thanks! That's perfect!
Now I need a pair of 22x15mm heatsinks (LxW) and fans to pair..
you can take a look at nidec http://www.nidec.com/ncaindex.html :)

Best place is By FAR www.mpja.com .
Most 24v WILL run at 12v.
Wiring them is usually red to 12v white to 12v return or red/black or red/whatever other color they have if they only have 2 lines.

There are some really nice fans out there that dont use a molex connector, Personally i have 3 case fans that dont have them, If they are rated at 115v its safe just to mount one of thosestrange psu power plugs onto the back of your computer, soldier the fans to that and plug em right into the wall, less stress on your psu but makes it more difficult if you want to controll the speed

Like Lithan said, you can run most 24v fans at 12v no prob, as long as they're rated for somewhere around 12. They'll say 12v-28v or 14v-30v or something.
Some people here gave me some info about running 24v with the 12v and -12v lines: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33658
And here's my 172 Papst. :D I got another one for a blowhole at the top but it needs some new bearings. This is at 24v off a separate PSU and a big fat pot on the bottom of the case. But even at 10v and silent my case temp is one degree above ambient, so you might as well run it at 12v off a molex. I forget how much power it draws but it's hardly any more than a 120mm.
