View Full Version : 2.4C - Is it a good one or not
P4 - 2.4C
Prod Code BX80532PG2400DSL6Z3
MM 853185
FPO/Batch 3338A203
Version C36073-001
Picked it up from from Newegg for $160.00
I have just came over to the darkside so please forgive the lack of knowledge on the Intel side of things. I will be installing it in a DFI Infinity 865PE with some OCZ Dual Channel EL memory along with the trusty ATI 9800XT.
Hopefully it will work as well as the AMD 2500 I have to compare it to.
TIA for any info

Only thing I can say is that's a Costa Rica, week 38.
How it overclocks is up to you to find out. ;)

It's a M0 so it'll most likely be good.

The biggest determining factor when Overclocking the current run of Intel Procs is LUCK, stick it in a board, keep it cool, coax it along with a bit of voltage, and let us know how it flys...

Its an M0, but like all CPU, you have bad and good. Test and bring us some results;).
BTW: Its some OCZ PCXXXX????
bro, have you tested it yet?!?!?! lets fire it up and see how things work! im thinking about getting another 2.4c M0. that was by far the most reliable CPU, and best overclocker i have ever had. that sucker did 3.75ghz straight out the box at 1.6v on stock cooling. it wasnt stable on stock cooling, but once i put it under water, i never touched it again.
solid as a rock. good luck on your journey bro...

You can't say it's a good chip unless you test it. Not all SL6Z3 are equal. Some might oc very well, others might not. Luck of the draw, as said many, many times before.
Well got it installed and slapped a Thermalright SLK-947U heatsink on it with a thermaltake smartfan II. And so far I have gotten it to 3.4 comfortably.
I did have to swap-out the OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel for my 1GB of Corsair CMX512-4000PRO running 3-4-4-8 timing the OCZ just didn't like going over 210. So far so good.
Oh by the way this is in a new Albatron PX875P Pro that I just got in so the DFI has to way its turn now. The Albatron has dual SATA - 6 channel stereo and thats about it but does support 1200 MHz FSB for the future.
