I was just wondering about transferring my OCZ PC4400 to a P4C800 E Deluxe. On ASUS's site on the spec for the mobo, it says PC3200. Also, I have heard that having over 1gb can cause instability problems on certain motherboards. Is this true with the P4C800E?

Don't worry! I've already solved it!!!

Yes, but the memory will not run at that speed unless you have a high enough FSB level. Also, how do I find out what my timings are and how do I change them? I think lower timings are better, but how do I get them?

YAY, W00T! I just fitted my new P4C800E!!! The memory seems to be runnin fine. But does anyone know how to change the latency timings? Would I need to decrease memory bus speed for this to work?

Ok, I managed to get 568mhz and 2.5-2-3-5. Dunno how stable it is. It was originally 2.5-3-3-6. Is that pretty good for a first try. I will test it's stablility soon with a benchmark program.

I dunno how it works, I'm quite new to memory stuff. And, also, how the hell am I supposed to use the net if I am reformatting my machine. I am gonna reinstall stuff then post it.

Each module is 568mhz. And the timings, I dunno if that's what they really are. But that's what it reports in da BIOS. Also, I am using a different computer at the moment, that's why I can use the net!

Well post a screenshot as soon as you can...that sounds like 5:4 timings to me, Hynix just can't run those timings at that speed.

I am gonna reinstall Windows after a format tomorrow! Then I will. Cos I had to reformat the machine cos of a HUGE infection of viruses and trojans and spyware!

He is prolly got the FSB ratio set to AUTO and with the P4P800-D it automatically wants to do 3:2, why who knows, but thats why his timings are so tight, he is underclocking his RAM.
When you have ur system up and running , in the JumperFree setup where it says the RAM speed set it to 320 for 5:4 or 400 for 1:1.
I have OCZ PC4400,no way will it run those timings unless its under 230MHz.
