ok guys here is what I have:

ASUS P4C800 Deluxe
2.8 P4c
1GB Corsair PC4400 DC kit<--tested to 280 by Liquid3D
nVidia 5700 Ultra
80GB 8mb cache HDD
slk-900 heat sink

I am having trouble overclocking this... 250 won't go and curious what you guys with similar gear are clocking at, so far the 20% AI overclock is as far as I can get it seems.

Did you try to oc the cpu manually, instead of using the AI feature?
What are your other settings? VCore, memory timings etc...

My 2.8 M0 runs nicely at 3.7Ghz, 1.60V, P4C800-E (1015 bios), 4*256Mb Infineon PC2700.

What vcore are you using?

If you do the auto setting you don't have access to adjustments like that.

If youre at 250FSB youre lucky compared to my at 3.2.:(.

anyway, did you OC manually? if yes, which Vc?

your using the AI overclock? no way dont use that crap do it yourself manually.

AI allows me 20% no prob

but under manual I try 1.6vcor and 2.85 on vdim
i know the ram can take it and i have a 651enermax feeding it all...

i am sure my voltages are what are stopping me but not 100% sure.

Might be that you have a crap cpu. Not all of them will reach 3.5Ghz. Some will even go higher, others won't even do 3.3Ghz.

At 250FSB, does it boot at all ? Or do you get a BSOD while booting?

it does boot but typically fails POST

does it scale higher with more vcore?

Sure it's not the memory? The P4C is a little picky with some modules, compared to the IC7.
What are your memory timings?
Try increasing VCore a little more, although VCore drops, once you pass 1.625V. Might be, that you'll need 1.725V, to get the same voltage as with 1.60V.

corsair pc4400

tested on p4c800 at 280 in many reviews and the p4c800 is what corsair tests all their ram on...

OK then. Had to ask it anyway.
Only thing I can think of is that your cpu won't pass 250FSB.
As always, it's a matter of luck.

Know a guy that has problems o/cing with rev. 1.0 (1.1?) P4C800. It could be your mobo or CPU. Anyway in trying the CPU on another system?

What about the VDimm voltage? If its Auto will be in 2.55V, try 2.7V Manually.

Shoot!... :( It seems that you have reached the limit of the CPU.

Will the Droop Mod help?

PS:
Have you disabled the USB Legacy Support?

what does disabeling the USB legacy Support do besides the obvious?

i would try testing the chip in a different board or test a different chip in that board, im pretty sure that is whats holding you back, its clearly not your ram

BIOS 1011 was the best for me so far, I haven't had much luck with any more recent ones, also, may seem like a dumb question, but have you locked the AGP/PCI to 66/33?

Also, have you tried cranking up the AGP voltage? I can't get anywhere without bumping it up a notch or two, apparently it's related to the NB voltage on this board.

I concur with st0ned, try upping vAGP.

I just got a M0 2.8 and it easily does 14x250 at stock voltage. My first piece of good luck in a long time ;)

Curious: how high can you get, on just stock voltage, clocking manually?

my board is revision 2.0

I seem to recall reading a thread over at Abxzone where bigtoe said that the Rev 2.0 boards don't clock as well as the older ones. He didn't go into any detail thou. Perhaps you could ask him about that.
