has anyone purchased and recieved a non OEM prescott higher than a 2.8 ?

Yes several people have.....Liquid3D, althes, macci, JCViggen, Tedinde...look around....

Not sure about OEM or Retail, but why does it matter?

I have seen a picture of the Retail box on here somewhere though...

well there is a guy over at EOCF raging on and on about how Intel is recalling/delaying any prescotts release above 2.8 ghz for now... So I am looking for some hard info on this...

smells like bs to me. he didnt even name his "supplier" or provide any truth by hard facts to it.
