As the topic say I got problems when using either Clockgen or SetFSB on my P4C800-E D ....when I have set the values I want...no matter if I choose 1mhz or 20mhz...it hangs my system after a couple of seconds...then I get BSOD it says something about something wrong in the kernel. Can´t realy remeber.
I tried to reinstall the system...but still the same...and I use Srp1a and lates Intel inf.Utility.
And I also use bios 1016...the mobo came with 1014 and I had same problem there.
I have also tried to play around with bios settings ...but didn´t came up with anything.
Anyone else had any similar problems...?!?!?!?!?

I had this happen with my new 3.2E. It is not being read as a 3.2, but as a 2.8 in the bios. When I run clockgen or CPUZ it crashes me. I assume that the reading error is also what is leading to the crashes. This was not the case with my old 3.0C or various other cpu's. Without knowing your specs I can not speculate as to what might be causing your problem. Post specs and someone might be able to clue you in.

I´ve tried all kinds of settings...everything on Auto and everything on manual.
I´ve also tried different verisions of both clocgen and SetFSB including 15g...but nothing works.
Currently my settings are:
Jumper Free:
Cpu Ext. Freq: 200mhz
Dram Freq: 200mhz
Agp/Pci: 66/33
Performance: Standard
Chipset:
Cas: 2
Ras: 3
Cas to Ras: 3
Precharge: 5
Burst: 8
Performance: Eanbeld
Dram Idle: Auto
Dram Refrsh: Auto
I´ve done the droop and vdimm mod...vcore set to 1,55 and vdimm to 2.8 when set to Auto in bios. VDDQ is 1.5
And as you se I havent OC anything yet...!!!
I just can´t figure this biatch out :(

I´m using a 3.4 Northy...and 2x256mb A-Data PC4000.
No problems raising the fsb from bios...but clockgen or SetFSB is a no go.

This is weird.
I throwed it all in my Mach II to day to see what I can get out of this sucker,
After everything up´n running I installed Mbm 5.3.5.1 .....now during the installation it asked me something about deleting a giveio.sys...that the system was currently using and because of mbm using it´s own driver it didn´t needed the file...so I went with it.
And after the mbm installation finished and everything configured....something told me to try clockgen angain....and it works perfectly...both clockgen and SetFSB.
Strange...!!!!
