hi,
Ive got here a p4c800-e droop modded + 2.8m0 watercooled , raddy9800 np@495/710 , adata pc4000,and a crappy qtec 450W
I can reach 3.5ghz with 1.62v (1.58 bios) prime stable , and 3.6 with 1.8 volts( thats my other q here , the droop mod works just fine until I select anything higher than 1.6v in bios , 1.62 in bios results in that 1.8v i am using 50kohm pot should I try with 100k or what?) back on the subject - could my damn qtech 450w limit my clock to 3.5? and how can I check this . The pc keeps restarting when I try higher mhz and its not my ram i did try 5/4.:)
my full load temps at 3.5g are 34-36celsius.Please post your opinion on both matters.
thanx

How much hardware have you got hooked up the the PSU ? and how stable are the rails?

oh i forgot the rails and the other stuff , its pretty loaded - 2x 120gbMaxtors in raid 0 + 5-6 fans a cdrw and a dvd but the rails seem solid
12v is 11.9-12.2
5 is 4.95-5.1
3.3 is always 3.3
dunno whats the bottleneck but i prefer to think its my PSU instead of my proc:)

Rails seem ok, i had a problem when i first put my 2600+ Barton in, when trying to upp the FSB the pc would get to the login screen or just into windows and reboot but that was down to my ram settings.

If you think its your PSU just try unplugging a HDD while you try or moving one of your ram strips to a diferent slot as depending on the ammount you have it can take a lot out of the PSU.
I think 1GB DDR takes about 80 watts.

i have a 2.8C M0 too, but i can't get it past fsb 252mhz 3.52ghz @1.6v, it'll reboot on it's own

dont think so.

I think its your CPU man:(.

And for the droop mod: lower your resistance to about 30K ans see what it gives

well turning the pot (mine is 2turn one , not very precise) seems to do nothing , but as long as its there the board doesnt undervolt

Dud3!

What you can't see in the BIOS is the noise put out by a cheap PSU which could very well be stopping your OC.
