I finaly got around to hooking up the MII on my A64 rig but it is a no go. I am running an Asus K8V Deluxe and A64 3200. The prommie cools to -40, powers up then continues to drop in temp. Around -49 the mobo powers up for about 2 to 3 seconds and then it all shuts down. Any ideas on whats up with this contraption?

ready??
sorry but you might have to do this everytime.
remove the yellow from the motherboard header for power on.
remove the white/blue from prommy to power button on case.
hook poweron to power on motherboard header as you would an air cooled rig.
clear cmos
now press the power button and the pc will turn on go into the bios and about 2-3 sec. after power on the setup the prommy will turn on :).
wait in the HW monitor page in the bios untill ya see cpu temps around -20c.
set all voltages /bios settings
save
all will be fine with the world
again no yellow or blue/while from prommy gets hooked to anything
gaurt. 100% to work

It sounds to me like a motherboard short. I had this myself yesterday with a build. Took me an hour to realise that a motherboard standoff was shorting against a pin on the back of the mobo. After a few seconds of reaching boot temp the system would fire up and then shut down. Worth checking.

www.nventiv.com
is a very good site to start with
go to the downloads section and update the firmware of the control board
it has a "special one " for the asus k8v

I agree with EmineM, there are known startup issues with that mobo, thus the special firmware. I would start there. ;)
