I did the Vgpu mod on my 9800NP yesterday, but for some reason got strange results. Once I increased the voltage from stock 1.695V to 1.80V, which gave me about +40MHz on the core, memory overclock started to give. I lost about 10MHz, down from 378. Another strange thing was that overclocks where not consistent. I would boot into windows at higher voltage, let's say 1.85V Vgpu and find max overclock (479Mhz) using one of the ATI demos. Then I would proceed to run 3DMark and everything would be fine. But on the next reboot I would no longer be able to reach the same 479MHz and the card would artifact quite badly. Can someone please help me get it working properly? Thanks.
PS: I'm using pin 20 as ground and a 5KOHm VR. GPU is waterclooled using DD Maze4, which gives me about 432/378 24/7. Oh, and I'm using THIS (http://www.fastlanehw.com/reviews/9800mod/9800P_vgpu%20copy.JPG) guide. Should I try using pin 18 and 20?,
