If i put a diode under the cpu and snake the wires between the pins the temp that is read is the absolute most accurate? If true im um killing the cpu as the temp from that probe goes to 90c and the onboard temp usually reads 40 to 49 c. Whats going on?

What kind of probe is it? Is it reliable?

one of the ones that came with a smart fan 2 to allow for temp reading to vary fan speed. Used to use it with another fan controller and looked like it read the temps fine. was always within 1 or 2 degress on motherboard sensor. Now hook it to this and acting kinda weird like i said.

I use one and its never done that, it tells me a much more accurate temp than software (+8-12c).

maybe the caps under the cpu get burning hot?

then why do ppl say thats how to find the absolute correct temp?

Hmmm, the Abit IC7 usually reads 10-15C higher than it really is. Not 50C+...

That's where mine is attached.
