hey i've seem a lot of reviews ; wich i saw f.e. a volcano 11 (4800rpm max), running at 5300rpm :slobber: , how can i get that? will this F my fan?:confused:

By overvolting the fan it'll go faster. From what I've heard most fans are fine up to around 14v after that it would depend on the fan. Increased voltage will shorten the lifespan, but as I said, it depends on the fan, some may run for a year or more, some may fail in less than a month.

why wouldn't you just buy a better fan instead of messing up that fan and having to go buy another one anyway

couldn't the same be said for overclocking CPUs?
i say go for it, but keep in mind that the fan may die, and if it does and you aren't careful, it could damage your CPU.
