I have my eye on a big honkin tecumseh compressor and I was wondering if anyone has a link to the wiring info (or can give me the a sketched out diagram of the wiring) or the start cap/run cap/relay that might be needed for this one:

Tecumseh RK136AT-002-A6
RKA5510EXA
R22
1 PH
115V
10,300btu

I did a search on tecumseh's site and all I got was basically the specs as above. I also tried a straight google and that got me nada...

EDIT: getting closer to finding them - the RKA5510EXA compressor was apparently used in the Maytag 10QZ22RC1 air conditioner. found a listing for the compressor and the price was shown as $396.00. rofl....someone, somewhere would be pI$$3d if they knew I just got one for $20. this is one big bastage of a compressor. :D

EDIT EDIT: finally found the run and start caps...the relay and overload is still a mystery but they will turn up.

In case anyone else runs into this compressor...
run cap:
G21-913, manufacturer no. POC25, MFD 25.0 Volts 370

start cap:
G22-844, manufacturer no. 88-108, 330vac

Get a supco pr 90 and a start cap of 250 uF 270 V, A 25 uf Run cap will also get the run amps down a little.

The circuit diagram is in the package of the pr90, you can get an adjustable voltage start relat and it nneds to be set at 150V.

thanks chilly - I will check with the HVAC store tomorrow and see what they have in stock. I will without a doubt end up having to order and wait but that seems to be the nature of this beast.

any suggestions for oil separators/where to get/guess at the cost?
