I have been running my mach2 setup for about 3 months, completely stable until about 2 weeks ago. Started having stabilty issues with crashes when I left the system running F@H.
Today I left the system off when I left for classes, and came home to see the display say 65C ambient temp. Tried powering the system and the values skyrocket from 61, 67, 71, 75, 85 and then the lcd posts "Fail Sensor... Sensor ufA" which matches up to the 1&3 led's on the back.
Is there any quick fix to this or will I need to go through the reseller?

The mystery is why they say "Sensor ufA" instead of "Sensor Afu (All f**ked up)".

Do a search of this forum for the error msg ... Failed Sensor... Sensor ufA and variation of same, I think you'll find many threads and replies!

"Sensor ufA" = sensor micro-freezer assembly, perhaps?

Hobocrow--I ran a quick search of the forums with "sensor ufa*" as the terms. This is the only thread on it. My only guess is maybe you might have bent the evaporator head too far, and wound up cutting a wire in it somewhere? This is pure speculation from a non-prommy owner, keep in mind.

Hmmmmm ... I just did a quick search using " sensor error " in this forum only and got at least 12 threads. Maybe all are not relevant, but they are there! :)

Goes to show why you should never be too specific at the start of a search I guess :toast: .

Good luck sorting this out Clamato--I just hope it doesn't happen when I order my mach 1!

Heh thanks for the kind words, I'm just waiting on the e-mail replies atm. I powered on and off the mach2 a few times and the sensor got as far as returning to 19c amb one time, which is incorrrect but better than just straight erroring out. From there though, it just bounced around for about 20 minutes from 19 to 40 back to 19, the sounds it made didn't match up with normal operation, something was missing.
I think the evaporator head is fine, but I'm about to take off the mach2 right now and plop on a standard h/s as a temporary solution.

Yeah, I uninstalled all the mach2 parts, sealstring etc and managed to find a heatsink in the house somehow. Mach2s just sitting in the corner now :(.
Most threads that deal with sensor errors are more regarding the slight inaccuracy of the temps, nothing that hampers the mach2's ability to perform.
However, I did find two threads with the exact same cases: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21794&highlight=sensor+error

I'm going through the RMA process at the moment, I think that is pretty much what the other folks have done.

Sorry to hear that! I had to do it once, it takes a while, unless the retailer will work something with you. GL! Keep us posted.

Well after about a week of leaving the mach2 sitting in the corner of my room, I replugged it in to check if the sensor was still broken. It displayed the correct ambient temperature. Went through and jump started it, and well magically it is working now! I am just a bit confused since the sensor "corrected" itself. I also feel apprehensive about whether it'll break down again, and if it does will it "correct" itself once again.
