Hi!

After a few weeks on vacation I´m going to continue with my Phase Change system.

Now I have to solve the insulation + retention mechanism, and I figured a very simple way, but I have to know if the fiberglass (obiously plus resin) it´s good for the insulation of the evaoprator.

I´m also using a big heat shrink tubing for more protection.

Why not? I think it would work fine if you seal the outside of the fiberglass to prevent moisture ingress.

Unless you intend to drench the fiberglass in the resin; the insulation properties of fiberglass are based on keeping air captured. Thus, a loose fill would be useable, but do not compress the fiberglass.

I doubt it is the best material available for insulating, but it should work OK if you cannot lay your hands on Armaflex/neoprene/whatever.
