Man,

That's just too dang cheap!!

That's at least a $600 - $700 dollar rig, and at that amount you would be getting a great deal.

Quality work indeed!

I think 600 to 700 is a superdeal compared to off-the-shell solutions.

... but Dorothy had Faith... and had it in her (and on her feet)... all the time, huh?

The *wizard* did not provide it, but illustrated the means to recognize her ability to acheive her dreams!!

Anyway.. it was the *Good Witch* that told her she had the ruby slippers on... so the *Wizard* was not an issue anyway... in re: Dorothy goes to Kansas.

 *sigh*

I was stationed in Kansas. Can't imagine why anyone would want to go there.

I keep clicking my heels and saying, "There's no place like Hawaii", but it doesn't work for me.

Well if that was setup for an A64, I might have had to bid on it;)

Would that work well on a GPU with being tuned for an Intel chip and temp loads?

Saw the thread and had to post you can mount this on an a64 should do fine on one the mounting is a nylon block with four holes in it If you drill holes in the nylon for the a64 then all is well.... BTY This unit was a custom build for someone whose funds evaporated and I am reselling to recover the shipping both ways sent it out funds evaporated and I was lucky enough to get it stopped and returned... So only lookin to cover my but... I will be putting up a couple Gpu cascades capable of -100 in a couple a weeks.... These will start at 1.00 also.... (Scary huh?)

Well The XTF is going ok. I need to raise money for an even more extreme project I am shooting for -173C loaded and stable and I need the third and fourth stage gasses. These are 1200 us per bottle. I think the XTF will go at 350 of 400 this will recover my shipping loss and the cost on the condenser. all is well. I learned my lesson about paypal... damn reversed transactions s##K well it was my fault for accepting unverified funds,,,, and then shipping to an unverified address.... won't happen again but to all be warned the ax at paypal is papered with the user agreement so if you follow it you will be ok but prepare to get something cut off if you step out of line.....

BTY I don't think you can post about auctions here. If you want info PM me and I will answer any querys that you have.....Chilly1

Since you are considering to ship worldwide I would like to point the power supply to your attention. Your phase change system is probably
based upon the USA Power supply... in europe for example we use
220 V so you might considering adding a traveler adapter to the package incase you ship world wide.. this costs like 10 $.
It is rather important that yous upply this adapter as it is hard to find USA - Europe adapters around here.. it is more likely to find europe to USA adapters... just thought I would mention this so that you do not make any mistake if you ship the beast to someone outside of america

chilly1
03-03-2004, 07:12 AM
This is a 120V itm and would require a suitable transformer to run in Europe.

EmineM
03-03-2004, 09:27 AM
Yea thats kinda my point... problem is it is "rare" to find those transformers here from 120v to 220v
since the americans that come here bring their transfomers with them
we only have it the other way around from 220v to 120v
Just thought this would be valuable information for the one your selling it to :)

chilly1
03-03-2004, 01:19 PM
The transformer that would do 220 to 120 will do it the other way round... thanks

Seems to me there are a lot of people with water cooled systems, and water blocks on everything they want cooled. What they need now is some chilled coolant.

BTW, what temp does pure methanol freeze at?... LOL

Pure methanol freezes at -143.5F/-97.5C, of course it would start to sludge up before then but -80C is probably safe.

Yep, I was just twisting Chilly's tail a little. There are fluids that will go even lower.

In my opinion, chillers are ultimately the way to go. They are not as popular as direct die because we haven't shown what a real chiller can do, yet. You sacrifice a few degrees because of the extra layer of heat exchange, but multiple blocks are no problem, and you can bank the cooling. They are much more versatile.

I have worked on chillers up to 3600 tons, so I am not totally unfamiliar with them. :D

I like the thought of a chiller for cooling the video card, north bridge, and the high temp side of a cascade direct die for the cpu. Whats the more space effecient method for chilling a liquid? I can't imagine that dropping an air evap unit into the liquid is the best, how do the professional units do it?

A plate type heat exchanger would do the job quite nicely..

As with all of these cooling systems the limiting factor is how much hear you can remove from the device.

I have a friend that does AC work that said he would build me a chiller if I bought the parts. I think this is the way to go because I want to cool multiple blocks. He said he has some R402A left over from a job he did on a refer truck that came thru town. Can someone please tell me the Copeland compressor and other parts I would need to finish the project. Thanks
