Finally did it yesterday...
With the rig in my sig & on a pretty warm day I finally managed to break into 24K..

Was at 23996 before & my damn rig just wouldn't stay stable long enough to break 24K.

A change of mobo bios from Abit's official IC7_21 bios to tictac's modded bios, a boost in VC OC from that ATITool & I finally managed to do it.

I'm quite happy with my score, there's like one 2.4c that's got like 25K while the rest above me are 2.8's & above while I have a lowly 2.6.

24,099 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7589283)

Next on my list is to get my Vapo Classic R404 gassed & pluggin it onto my 9800pro.

Hmm why DX9.0 + Cat 3.1?

That's a glitch that happens when you install DX9 & then use one of the uninstallers found on the net.

All of my benches from 23K have had that. It's my everyday rig so I can't be bothered reinstalling the OS....

When I use dxdiag, it shows up with DX8.1 but when I run a benchie, it shows up as being DX9 & my fsb hows up as being 0fsb. I think the 0fsb has to do with how my IC7-G states that I'm running at 277fsb when I set it to either 288-289fsb.

I can improve on that score but not by much. Everything apart from Game Test 1 has gotten better.

Also hard to believe that gaining 100 odd points has pushed me up by nearly 20 on the 3D ladder.

As for Cat 3.1, they have shown me to be the best for 3DMark01SE.

Cheers,
Minnyboy.

A fresh install of your OS and leaving the default DX will be a lot faster than just "uninstalling" DX9 which may do next to nothing.

I do agree with ya on that but right now it's a whole lot of trouble doing that for me....

Been a while since I backed up my work & as long as I can break 24K with it set up as it is, I'm happy...

Although I will be trying for 24.5K soon with a fresh OS, Vapo Classic on my 9800pro.

I've already done the mounts, just waiting to get it regassed, I might try it w/out regassing it as it should lick my current H20 setup.

Might be pushing it as my WC setup doesn't break 40c (measure with 2nd Vapo temp probe under waterblock, hopefully touching the core) but I can't push my 9800pro beyond 510/410 w/out it locking up hard on me.
