I want to overclock my Athlon XP 2600+ Barton to 2Ghz or just over but what would be the best way.

Just change the FSP/core/multi etc ??

Also voltage/FSP tips would be welcome :D

CPU currently runs at 1921Mhz

change the multiplier to 12x if you can. For that subtle oc tho you wont notice a difference with multi or fsb.

I know its not a massive oc, its just to test and to get the 2ghz mark lol

Not sure if i got the 12 option in my multi settings i think i jumps to 14 but i will check.

But all i need to do it boost the multi to 12 and it should hit 2Ghz ?

When i updated my bios earlyer it seemd to give me more options settings.

CPU Ratio

x14.0
x15.0
x6.0
x6.5
x7.0
x7.5
x8.0
x8.5
x9.0
x9.5
x10.0
x10.5
x11.0
x11.5
x12.0
x12.5/x13.0

So x12 should be good enough?

166x12=1992
167x12=2004

You might have to increase your fsb by 1Mhz :rolleyes: Don't break out the dry ice or anything...lol

You have to find the limit of your cpu first. Overclock it until it gets unstable, then try to find the max for FSB. Then you gotta combine that and try to get the highest speed ;)

I left the FSB at 166 and chnged the multi to x12
Even though cpuz is saying the FSB is at 167 in the bios its at 166 lol

Would i need to up the VCore befor i started to try and up the FSB ?

Tested it with the torture test on prime95 and it seems stable.
