Well i was thinking about trading this card for a 9500 pro or something along those lines but i tried to overclock it first and see how high it would go. Its sitting at 290/631 right now and im not even pushing it.
Its a 64 meg PNY ti4200 so its way up from its 250/500 stock speeds. Its bone stock too so im extremely happy with it. I still have a touch more speed i can add to my processor and the gpu's core and ram. I know this isnt really extreme overclocking but im pretty happy with it.
Here is the future mark score. 12020 points Im sure i could get it close to 13000 grand with everything at max. Not bad for ti4200

Thats not bad at all.
Are you just overclocking the video card and not your syste,.
What is you fsb, cpu speeds? I had an old MSI Ti4200 that did 16k.

my MSI 4200 64 meg does 300/650. i get around 13350 in 3dm2k1.
The ram is samsung 4ns TSOP and clocks like crazy.

Its at 200x11 for my 2500. I have had the barton as high as 222x11 but i started to get memory dumps unfortunately.

Isnt that ram rated for 250 mhz only? I would like to know whats on mine but PNY has these ugle heatsinks on them.

Maybe you should try a higher fsb and a lower multiplier...unless your cpu is locked of course.

Its locked. Just tried 290/640 and got a score of 12244. Im gonna go for broke tonight with everything all the way up.

I got MSI Ti4200 128 MB - orig clocks are 250/444. Same Samsung 4 ns memory. It only does 300/550. You're getting 650 with your ram.. I wonder why such a big difference?
Is the PCB design the same, just half the chips present?

Mine does 315/605 max.
No idea what the RAM is but its obviously not the good stuff.
Highest I could get a 3DMark score is 305/605. Its a Ti4400 too.

Ok so I just put a Duron 800 HSF @ 7V on the Ti4200 - the stock was too loud for my taste.
It now does 315 on the core :) I wonder why my RAM is so weak compared to Çhrist0ph though.

i have no idea why my ram clocks so good. at 650 its stable and artifact free for about 30 minutes, then it slowly starts artifacting more and more. But this is all without ramsinks so i keep it at 620 for 24/7 use.
I dont about the pcp design, there are 4 chips on each side in an "L" configuration

Oh alright. So you have the same number of chips as the 128 MB card but they are just lower capacity.
Does your RAM get hot or is it cool? Mine gets pretty damn hot.

mine get pretty warm, but not scorching.
im sure ramsinks would help me, but i dont have the dough for some good ones.

I had a gainward Ti4200 128mb golden sample that did 324/608 on stock cooling, i beleive it had the 3.6ns ram. However I could be mistaken. I hit 13,326 on a 2200+@2057 and KD7 combo.
Anyway, its faruquehabib's now and maybe he'll be able to get it to clock higher.

My Albatron does 355/770 but ive got to give her raw power for that.
2V on Core, 3,8V on rams.
For 24/7 use i run her @ 340/750. For those i need 1,9V Vgpu and 3,5V Vddr.

Take a metal saw, and an old heatsink and make some! It would take a ridiculously small amount of time if you know what you're doing.
You don't think you could measure your RAM voltage? :)

if i come across an old heatsink anytime soon ill do that, but until then ill wait
