Hi everyone

I've just cracked the core on my P4M 1.6 B1 stepping that run at 3.6g with phase-change :( I'll try to revive it later on because voltage feeding CPU pins are all corroded and probably make no contact in socket...

Anyway I've acquired new mobile P4 1.8 C1 stepping and hopefully want to push it more than this old one...

Currently I've revived my semi-dead IC7 and I'm running this at 53C IDLE with box cooler..

I have to implant IHS from a dead desktop P4 cause I'm worried about my bare mobile core....

Highest attainable on air with 'stock' voltage

Is this one of those Centrinos or not?

Or is it just like the XP-M's, same thing at lower power?

That is pretty nice oc on stock volt man. I just wonder though, is the stock volt on a P4M the same as it is on the normal p4? Doesn't make sense to me.:stick:

It is NOT centrino (P-m)...

It's just the ordinary P4-M.

Can Centrino CPUs run on desktop chipsets ??

Centrino needs new 855 sets and work with 478 & 479 sockets

No, the stock voltage is 1.3 but for some reason desktop mobos donn't wont run lower than 1.575 with mobiles though :/

The same goes for the multiplier. It is always x12 regardless of mobile CPU type/clock !

The DFI Infinity 875/865 have as low as 1.3v, might be worth a try.

They only give 2.9v for the DIMMS.....why? Their NF2 Ultra board has 3.3v :(

Thanks for the info but I'm willing to feed that one with ~1.7 with Ph-Ch

So the intel mobiles are multi locked too? How do they slow them down for laptops then to save power?
