Well I dont know what is going on exactly but I just got a 9800 pro and my benchmarks were low. Isp brought it to my attention in another thread that it might be that agp was disabled. However it is set to 8x agp and fast write without spread spectrum in the bios. For some reason though, in smart gart it wont let me set it to 8x it is saying that agp is off. Please help me get it to work!>?!!
Thanks in advance

dont listen to smartgart. It is an idiot. Simply get omega drivers and they will disable smartgay.

This was my first problem..

First of all, you need to do a COMPLETE HARD RESTART of your system, getting rid of the CMOS, RAID setup, EVERYTHING.

Once you reinstall windows after zeroing the hard drive, remember to install the CHIPSET DRIVERS.

You probably have an intel Processor, so in that case, go to the INtel website and find your motherboard. Download the drivers.

If you have AMD, go to your manufactuer's website and download the drivers, but if you have an AMD, your probably already at the end of your OCing adventure already.

Well I have AMD and I realized that I forgot to install the mobo drivers after re-formatting. However I just installed them, but I dont think it helped. What can I do?
Also slick I am about to install some omegas!

.....you should install-chipset, then dx9, then video drivers. If you mess with the order it will give you problems alot of times:
1.WinXP
2.SP1a
3.chipset drivers
4.dx9
5.video drivers
6.sound drivers

......you can try to trouble shoot but the easiest solution is re-format :( .........

actually, try installing the chipset drivers again, uninstall your current, and reinstall, should fix those problems, I had that same problem

Is there any reason why you install the chipset drivers before DX9?

I only ask because I install in pretty much the same order you do, but with DX9 before the chipset drivers, and have never had any problems.
