New rig in the future....

So I've been meaning to upgrade or actually just build a whole new system. I'm gonna wait till the next gen vid cards are out before I do. But my question is, what is the best way to go for the top of the line processor? I'm probaly looking for AMDs "San Diego" FX-53?? Is this gonna make a difference in gaming than a normal a64 say 3700+ O/Ced? Is it worth going for the FX processors (even though there quite expensive)? I'm a hardcore gamer and I'm just curious as too which processor is the best way to go in the future

Well the fx is the best barnone... will you notice the difference? Probably not. But it might be worth it to you to spend the extra for the future. Also The San Diego has been pushed back to the fall I believe. However the fx-53 for 939 with 120 nm process will be out in a couple months.
