i've got a 9800np flashed with a pro bios & tweakmonster BGA sinks, and i've been trying to find out where my new stable overclock is...the thing is, when using riva tuner to overclock, many of the settings i choose on the slider will default to a "predetermined" clock speed, so to speak. for example, any setting i choose between 368 and 374 will actually clock the memory at 371.3 is this just a function of the clock gen on the card itself, meaning i won't be able to get actual speeds of 368-369-370?

the reason i ask this is that when the card is set to 371, i can make it through 3dmark fine but there is some artifacting on dragothic-high and nature. if i was able to set it to say, 369 or 370 i may be able to get rid of the artifacts.

You could use Radlinker to change these settings. ;)

But it is only running 371, cause that is the timing the bios is reconizes or something like that. In the bios it goes 364-371-378-384-391-398-405, etc. So it goes by what the bios does, clocks in 6-7mhz increments.

Maybe ATItools??

I've been able to really finetune my 9800pro with that tool.

Tests the OC out as well as letting you adjust by .40Mhz or something close.

Just gotta play around with it.

Radlink, Rivatunder ATITools or Powerstrip :)
