Hi. I hardly come here... so I'm new :D

Anyways, I was wondering what's the highest or estimate of the highest you've seen or experienced from a Geforce 4 Ti 4200 4xAGP (Leadtek GF4TI4200 128mb /VIVO - that's mine).

Out of the box, I could get 300/600 and slight abit higher, but cooling was an issue.

Ok, with a multimeter, I checked up my GPU's volts, it's at 1.81volts. Wow that's a high stock. I then checked my memory on the GFX, it was at the normal 3.5volts.

I was wondering how high would you recommend me taking it up to, on both voltages.

Unless you change your cooling, not very high obviously.

I wouldnt go above 2v on the Vgpu without some REAL good cooling, so maybe around 1.88v or so..just for benching unless you go with water or pelts.

Maybe another half a volt on the Vddr...through some sinks on them as well.

Cooling is weird. I mounted a AMD Stock HSF onto the GPU core. Memory has no cooling whatsoever, as it doesn't get very hot (now it does I notice after the vmem mod). Before it used to be not even warm for crazy reasons, but the core is always hot.

Of course I always take precaution when overclocking, checking temps every 30mins interval and doing it in the coldest environment I could get in Australia (mostly 12pm midnight).

Well the memory starts off at what, 3.5volts. So half upon that is a whopping 4volts, isn't that too much? Wouldn't that just generate more artifacts from than an actual higher clock?

As for the GPU, I haven't taken it over 2.05volts because of the humid weather. But it will drop again (Australia's weather is like a rollercoaster) so I'll pump it up soon.
