Well I just got my new 9800 pro, and at first testing it isnt living up to its rep. I ran 3dmark01 with cat 3.2s and dx 8.1b, on a fresh xp install. I ran all stock and got 13k. I have a friend with almost the exact same setup and he gets 14.5k. Could someone please tell me whats going on!?
Also what are others scores stock with 9800 pros?

my 2 cents would be not to worry about stock, just try to get a general idea of what it will do. use atitool or something to crank up core and mem clocks, a couple of 3d01/03 runs, then compare your scores to others in ORB with similar CPU and vid card setups.. that should give you a better idea of where you're at..

not to hijack, but it's sort of related. what do you use to change lod bias with radeons? Can only seem to do it with nvidia cards in rivatuner

Well Im overclocking and testing it right now but I wanted to make sure there wasnt something in my system bugging. Anyways I can get up to 440/380 with tweaker. This with and overclock to 2.2ghz (200x11) gets me about 14750. Im going to oc the proc some more and see what happens though. The problem is... The Orb wont let me register!!!! I have tried but it wont let me. It gives me an error about how i might have left the window open to long and the page is timed out or something. I think it might be something wrong with my e mail and there database, dont know why. But if anyone has any idea on this please help! Also does my 14750 compare about right with the rig in my sig obvioulsy with the pro instead of the se now?

Well it is enabled in the bios... however I realized it wasnt in smart gart, I dont know if that matters or not but I just changed it to 8x. Does that matter? Im about to bench it again. Also do you have any other suggestions?
