1st Question
I was just wondering why my cpu temps on my main rig is rising.
Is the as3 wearing off? its only been like 1 and 1/2 months.
Do i need to renew it with some as5?

2nd Question
On my 2nd rig(just built) the temps r in the low 30's at 1.8v
I haven't even burned it in yet.
On my main rig the temps r in the high 30's at 1.7v...
WTF is going on exactly? Both use 1800+ cept AIUGA and JIXHB
Note that the 2nd rig is using a stock fan with as5.
And the main rig is using a slk-700 which is all copper...???

3rd Question
How exactly do i no when to renew the thermal compound?
With the fans maxed out my temps on the main rig is still greater than 30. I clearly remember the temps in the low 20's before... what gives????

interesting, i applied as5 and its still the same temperature.. in the low 40s...? Could it b because i didn't put on the heatsink on correctly? when i was trying to put on the retention clip on the socket, i kinda of moved the heatsink. Will this take off the as5 from the core?

O yea, i noticed that there wasn't any thermal compound on the core (only on the sides). or very little when i took off the heatsink. Could this b why the temps shot up?

if the heatsink is mounted correctly, there shouldn't be very much thermal compound on the core. it's really only there to fill in the tiny gaps that are present on any surface.

also, you are getting different temps with the 2 different CPUs because every CPU is different. even ones of the same speed.

which CPU are you using in your main rig, the AIUGA or the JIXHB?

Jixhb is on the main rig.

if i recall correctly, some people noticed that even though the Tbred "B" Chips could overclock higher, they actually ran hotter than the Tbred "A" chips.
