9800se Pipeline Vmods

Hi there guys.

Im a happy owner of a radeon 9800se that failed the 9800 pro mod on me.

I ask: does anyone here knows how to do a vmod to the pipelines of the 9800 se?

what kind of 9800se is it. 9700 layout, 9500pro layout, tsop layout. a little more info and some pics. links might help

its a club3d radeon 9800se, i think 9700 layout (whats a tsop layout?), memories in L shape.

The reason why it didnt complete the pipeline mod artifactfree is because some of the pipelines are damaged on the card (nothing visible) and thats why it is sold as an SE card....sry but there is nothing you can do about it...at least not vmodding the pipelines! ;)

But i have already hearded 3 or 4 times about this mod, where after this change the artifacts could get away!

I think im just gonna try to search who the guy was and ask him more details.

if the card does not softmod correctly, there is no way to fix it. some people have had success in fixing this problem by disabling hierarchical Z, runnin 16bit color, or running aa or af. but that is onlya very small percentage of people

Not the checkerboard effects caused by the damaged pipelines...but he claims that there is some wondermod or sumfin'

I have not claimed anything, someone else did and i wondered.
Why not? Maybe that guy knows something you ppl dont.

Somehow, I don't think that's true....

Wouldn't Opp, Macci, Fugger etc have one of these if this mod can be done??

If not for their benching quests, it would make for one cheap way of getting a 9800pro for a friend, relo or for sale....

If there was any mod that could be done to them 9800SE's to make their stuffed up pipes work again, I would think that this place would've shown a "how-to" by now.

Aren't those 9800SE's around 3 months old??? That's old in the tech world....

Just incase you need another person to tell you, damaged pipelines = damaged core. I'm sure if you cut your core open with a razor blade it'd just be a loose wire or somthing ;)
