Okay I tried searching for this but no luck, cant search 3 letters..

Anyways... I have an AMD 2400+ 15x133. My max FSB stable is 220. I would like to get higher.. Would doing this mod be benificial to me? How would I do it?

Any help appreciated.

I googled a little and found this place

http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?/html/workshop/pinmod/amd_pinmod.html

I go this pic but makes no sense to me... Is this EVEN right?

This is a sticky in the AMD section ->

The OC inside link is probably just confusing because of all those settings you see in the drop down menu's. Tons of bridges are being connected to do everything from change the multiplier, bus, volts....

Okay. I read most of it. From what I understand is..

Either do

OR

http://24.92.201.229/bridge.jpg

( where I marked it red )

OR

The bridge mod but there is no way in hell I can do that... I can barely see it.

Just put a peice of wire in the socket like that or use a conductive pen and connect those 2 pins together.... Put my "Load Defaults" in BIOS ( before I do the CPU ) and it should work? It will boot my 2400+ @ 15x166 = 2490 mhz? Would I need to do extra voltage or anything?

 ahh i hate being a question nub.

set it to its lowest multiplier, then do the mod.

all it does it change the default from 133 to 166, not the multiplier or anything.. and 2490 might be too much for your 2400+ at stock volts.

Hey I did the L12 mod to my sweet 1700+ DLT3C (now it doesn't work) and to my crappy 1800+ T-bred A (which now goes up to 245FSB 1900Mhz )

Anyone ever had a CPU not work after this mod? Course I've cleaned it well, etc.
