First and third are CH-5, and second one probally has hynnix chips.

If your looking for BH-5 your best bet is http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80092-9

If you want PC3500 BH-5, get some XMS3500.

Mushkin lvl 2 3500 = BH-5
Corsair XMS 3500C2 = BH-5

Both of these are very rare now and very expensive :(

CH-5 isn't all that bad, the newer CH-5 are able to do 2-3-2-6-11-16 timings 250+ FSB anyway

if i'm a first time building who wants to O/C, would this be good for me?

https://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80092-9

I think I may end up just getting that and give up on my search for 3500

EDIT: also, can this ram run duel chanel later? if I get 2 sticks? or do I need K2

If I was looking for mem at the moment, I'd worry more about BH5 than PC3500.

I have Mushkin PC3500 Black Lvl2 that does 247 with 3.3v in my Infinity and a week or so ago I bought some Kingston KHX3000, that does 247 with 3.3v in the same rig.

Same performance for me, but half the price.

And if you change the IMAGE in the tags on your sig to IMG, the pic will show.

TDF.

I guess 3200 would be more futureproof then 3000. I am 1 click to ordering this...

that good for k8v pro?

I agree to that, all BH-5 is about equal.

I have to disagree with you, not all BH-5 is equal. The quality of the PCB is also important, in my experience I think Mushkin has by far the best PCB, which is why you rarely see people complaining about Mushkin BH-5 sticks as opposed to some others.

Don't get me wrong I have Corsair XMS3200LL 2x256 kit rev 1.1 & Corsair XMS3500C2 2x 256 sticks rev 1.1

So I do know what good BH-5's are, there are differences that can be noted in higher FSB clocks. ;)

Just my 2 cents - I got some Kingston KHX3000 from the Newegg last Thursday.

KHX3000/256
9905200-017.A00
1241562 - 2.5v

My two sticks act like the old Samsung DTL - it will reach a certain FSB at a certain voltage then degrade.

Mine went to 200 FSB, 2-5-2-2 at 2.8 volts/no errors but after a day dropped to 190, errored in memtest and memtest86+ above 190.

I've tried to work it up to 3.3 volts but it only runs to 210 FSB without errors no matter what the voltage.

I'd do some burnin but so far the response to burnin has been for the two sticks to degrade into lower and lower top speeds. The memory does PC3000 at 2.6 NP, but doesn't seem to scale up very well.

If I decide to keep these I'll pull off the heatspreaders to see what chips they use but I'm likely to take a 15% loss and simply return them to Newegg.

actually the third link in your first post should be BH5

for instance, a HyperX pc3000 dimm with BH-5 should perform almost the same as Mushkin level 2 pc3500

Nah, they are all equal.

Its just a bum stick here or there, and not as many buy mushkin as bought all the different kinds of BH-5 that showed up on the market before it.

Gotta think in quantities here ;)

What processor?

Mine were doing that kind-of, then I L12 moded my cpu (2000+) and now I can get 236 2-2-2-5-1T with 3.1v on my BH-6.

Of course there's differences, but I can't say I've seen Mushkin and the other expensive stuff reach higher frequencys than most other BH-5.

Same processor that does 250X10 on my infinity with BH-5, and no mods to the CPU. All I did was to set FSB to 166, pull out the BH-5 and set it up with the Kingston.

Are you maybe saying that the Kingston memory requires a CPU mod? Makes no sense but a lot of things in the world don't make sense to me.
