Today I just bought a new motherboard, just a Jetway KT400.

I am currently running my RAM in sync with my CPU. My CPU is a AMD Athlon 'tbred' XP 2200+. The CPU is running at 266fsb so I have my ram running at ddr133. Is this the best thing to do or should I just have it running ddr400? It is TwinMos 512mb PC3200.

Also in my bios settings I have a "CPU Ratio" and "Host/PCI Clock". Am abit confused to what these actually do? The host/pci clock is currently running at 133mhz.

Thanks in advance.

That ram should be able to do ddr400, if not, it should easily handle ddr333.

The host/pci clock should be able to handle a few increments upwards of 133. Not sure about that board though, haven't seen too many peeps overclocking a Jetway. Don't know what the increments are in that bios. The cpu ratio should be the multiplier setting. See if you've got a Vcore or cpu voltage setting in there as well. If you start to play around with the FSB or multi, you'll need to have that to adjust as well. Plus, You'll need to watch closely at your cooling (cpu core temps and mobo temps).

Yes the voltage is in their aswell. When i change the CPU ratio from default to "X 5" or "X 10" etc nothing happens speed wise. I think I will try swithching the jumper on the mobo from 133fsb to 166fsb. I set my ram to ddr400 now no problems.

Wouldn't mind unlocking the CPU but im not too sure how. Have seen various guides floating around about unlocking the tbred 2200+ so I dont have a clue which would actually work.

I know about the cooling etc, got a sweet fan mod being setup within the next few days. Will post picture on it when it is done.

Thanks for the reply.
