I´m about to buy a new rig. I´m looking for a 24/7 rig not for a benching machine, but doesn´t mean I´m not going to do xtreme overclocking, stable but xtreme ;). Well this is the hardware I´ve decided for. Please let me know what you think about it and if you would change anything.
- Tower: Supermicro Full tower. ( I already have it, so it is not worthy getting a new one).
- PSU: Antec True control 550W. (In Spain it´s difficult or imposible to get Fortron or Pc Power PSUs, so I think after those this is the best one).
- Mobo: AN50R. (I´m going for an ATI so I need AGP lock).
- CPU: A64 3200+.
- Mem: 2x256 Kingstone HyperX BH-5.
- Vid Card: ATI Radeon 9800 PRO.
- ATA controller: Promise ATA 133 TX2. (I´m going with this one because is the only one that supports atapi devices).
- HD: Maxtor 80gig ATA 133 7200rpm 8MB.
- DVD Drive: Lite-On 16x.
- DVD-R: Pioneer A107.
- Liquid cooling: CPU: Swiftech waterblock.
VGA: Swiftech waterblock with 80W pelt.
Radiator: Double Heat Core.
Pump: Eheim 1250.
Thanks!!
