Some quick runs for you guys that say CPU has little to do with your 3DMark03 score...

Card clocks 535/975

2412mhz (201x12 1:1 2-2-2-6)
6,668 Marks

3240mhz (270x12 5:4 2-2-2-6)
7,164 Marks

I used 201 instead of 200 to make sure PAT was disabled to not throw off the score.

As you can see, there is 500 points there from a painless overclock on this little 2.4c...

interesting results :toast:

I don't think CPU speed will make a HUGE difference at around 50Mhz difference in core speed, but 600Mhz is quite a large difference in core speed

Yeah but there are people that say they would only gain 100-200 points from an overclock like this...well its a lot more than that...

hrmmm admin might wanna lock the thread and sticky it for like a month or 2, i think a few people might find these results interesting and use them to their advantage.

Hmm is it really that important? I dunno...

I was just bored and wanted to find the truth about how much your CPU affects 3DMark03...

With my system there were only 200 points difference between 100x10 and 200x10... guess it's because of my slower card. With faster cards the rest of the system will have more and more impact on the score.
