/com_maxfps 0
that turns off the limit, or you can put in any number you want...

any real reason you need more then 60?... you're not really going to see anything over 35. (thats been my experience from ut2k3)

Also you should make sure the refresh rate on your monitor is not stuck at 60Hz.

I would partialy agree with you on the 35 fps thing. There isn't a huge difference between 35 and 45 fps, but there defenately is between 35 and 60.
I wouldn't worry about the framerate lock unless you just want something to brag about. ;)

I just use it for VSYNC reasons. Anything higher than your refresh rate is pointless though. But in fast paced games, I think it is noticable between 35 and 60.
Do you have vsync on? you probably haven't run the refresh rate fix to unlock your monitors refresh rates and allow you to surpass 60hz.

No, I used like refresh force, so the 60Hz thing does not affect me.
At 1280x1024, my monitor is at 85Hz in the game...
What are you guys talking about i set my monitor to 75 but 3dmark says 60
? does your monitor have a diagnostics tool or something?
if i enter the osd of my iiyama 454 i can switch to help/info and there the current refreshrates are shown. and 3dm always tells me i'm running 60, lol
also, any fixed framerate above 25 fps should probably be fine. moto gp for instance has a 60fps lock aswell. that works real smooth. you'll never notice a stutter or stuff alike. just when i set the play resolution to some very high setting (like +1600 with all details maxed) i do get occasional drops below 60fps. and that's when the game seems to stutter... when it's back at 60, no noticing that even in corners. so as long as the framerates are constant 60, 50 or 200, you'll probably not notice much of a difference (if your screen can deliver that framerates that is). changing framerates on the other hand can be seen and recognized easily.
