Abit FX5200 129MB... need help

emmm is it posible if i add another 4 tsop mem on that 4 free space so that it will hav 8 tsop memory? or can i change that tsop emory with other brand like hynix d43 tsop?

is there anything i should change to make it works? like modding bios or anything else?

i had one!! Ist was a XFX with 128MB, too. I did with a XP1800+@2200Mhz on a NF7-S 1300 points in 3D-Mark 03.
This card really sucks, believe me. I was searching for a Vmod too, but didn't found one. :rolleyes:

if there's chips missing, then it's 64-bit mem.

I assume adding the rest of the chips will make it 128-bit. :)

never seen anyone do it yet tho, probably because 5200's dont cost much, and it's hard to solder the legs of TSOP mem (VERY small legs)

Is this FX5200 run faster than GF4 Ti4200 8x card? I mean getting the highest 3d mark score, which one will get highest score?

I'm thinking to buy MSI FX5200 for fun, and overclock it to 400/570
My GF4 Ti4200 is doing 325/585.

Is this crap idea??

Yess, I'm sure. It's MSI FX5200 T128. I build one for my secretary, and I'm surprised her VGA run 430/530 or 400/570 without volt mod, but of course with bigger HSF in place.

A FX5200 will NEVER outperform a TI4200 no matter what oc's you get on it

my friend was able to oc his card to almost 400mhz core but then 2 days later it maxed out at about +20%... was just some kind of bug ...

i always doubt he got almost 400 without mods ...

imo a fx 5200 really sux ... dx9? so what can`t play dx9 games with this piece of crap and in dx8.x a mx440 is alot faster and is even cheaper(38€ on ebay) ...

edit: that bug oc wasn`t benchable but playable and he thought or told me that it was actually faster than with stock speeds...
