these heatsinks are crazy.... i just got an a 3200+ and i couldn't get it on for like 30 minutes. these mounts are alot different than those p4's. just thought i'd say so. Are you supposed to use alot of force to get it on? or is it dangerous for the chip?

nice avatar, and yes i had to use a alot of force to get it on and it was a :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: to get it off as well., no dmg to the chip tho

stock cooler?

my alpha pal8150 was the easiest heatsink to install i've ever used.

its a foxconn was sent to me with it, so i dunno if its stock or not. but i was using an an50r board, and it took me a while to pop the thing in

i installed the stock 'sink on a 3000 for a frriend with the AMD retail hsf and it was the easiest heatsink install id ever done
granted ive never installed a P4 stock heatsink, but the A64 one was really intuitive with the clips goin on easily and then the thing you rotate gives good pressure on the core

p4 hsf's just kind of slide in and the thingy's go over the other thingy's and yeah it takes like 5 seconds
