I only just noticed this thread, thanx for your support guys:)

I think I can get the core to run near to 700 with some better contact/more volts.

I'm hoping to open the score out a little more tonight, with a few tweaks, and maybe drop a couple more 9800xt's;)

Nice Hiwayman! What mem is it? Twinmos, Corsair, KHX,...? What volts? :)
Your 5900U is Xtremely :slobber:

Congrats Hiway! :toast:

Kunaak, I think it would have been quite a bit higher if it was 1:1 ;)

Kunaak

if thats not 1:1 then that scores got a gereat deal of room left in it for improvement ;)

Heh if nVidia just made a special driver that would run 3DMark2001 ONLY - it would make many people happy.

Well I mean it has become a sport now. So why can't nVidia supports nVidia users who like playing this game of 3DMark? I mean if they got applications-specific cheats already, they could start cheating more grand. That would be cool and even raise the prestige of nVidia cards.

So why not make it extreme?

Only just noticed your score yesterday, i thought it was Xtreme enough to share it here. :)

Sounds like you got some more left in your rig??
Do you think 30K is on the cards?
700 for the core is the best i've heard so far :slobber: , what brand is it?

Good luck in your battle against the 9800xt's en please keep us informed.

A little improvement now, 29,048:

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7499466

I added some more details to the compare.

Thanx Zeus, for posting this thread up, the card is an Asus V9950 (FX5900U).

And I'm really pleased that so many people replied! It would be nice if I could get the mem to run 1:1 (267), but I can't see it happening with my present equipment. I think that my IC7 is getting near the end of it's competitive life........

Because it would be a waste of their time, they would see no return on the investment.

Great job, congrats!

BTW, strange that my Lobby scores of latest 26.3 unmodded run (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7495022) are higher than yours with similar FSB and timings (267 2-5-2-2 1:1). Maybe you have some troubles... Or just P4C800-E faster, dunno...

At the same system clocks the 9800 gives higher Lobbys than 5900.

Well they did optimize for 3DMark's rather heavily for the last couple of years. Is that a waste of their time? I think so. Do they think so? I don't think so :)

We are talking about 3DMark01.

At the time it was introduced it was the "industry standard benchmark" as they call it.

Its 2004.

To make a special driver for it NOW, would be like I said, a waste of their time.

They need to work on GAMES and not 3DMark01.

>>They need to work on GAMES and not 3DMark01.
That's what I think as well. But it's nVidia so they'll just keep cracking Mark'03 with every new build/driver release.

Rather pathetic. But they are in fact making sure you have 7281, not 5000 there. You are a user, it makes you happy.

>>To make a special driver for it NOW, would be like I said, a waste of their time.
Well, I think it is was and will be a waste of time - always.

Just to let you know, I'm retiring the 5900U now and setting up a 9800XT as I type this in.

Also the V9950 (5900U) managed to get this in aquamark:

>> 69,643 AM3 points << (http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=1751466479)

Which is quite nice too:D
