So my problem is that I have the Radeon 9700 Pro which doesn't seem to like high AGP speeds.

My question to you guys is... does the K8V even have Dividers? It seems that the higher I clock my CPU the higher the AGP/PCI gets.

However, MB's I have had in the past would also go up, but only so far before the numbers get lowered by the divider in some way.

I can't OC at all it seems, but this Athlon 3000+ just runs SOOO coool. I mean it idles at like 27C!! On load it may hit 32C but I have yet to see it any higher than that.

How far have you gotten it?

2100, and I don't think that is very stable either.

Try setting the HT speed to 600mhz, helped me a lot. Im at 235 now, the HyperX is stopping me. Ill try async today.

Btw can you try setting AGP memory to 256, i cant boot if i set it to 256. Have to use 128mb.

the board is fully benchstable at 285 MHz, but the CPU won't go over 2.5 GHz, no matter what voltage I give it.

The 1003 bios is supposed to fix this.

Fix When Aperture Size set 256MB, System may hang up.
Fix some PCI cards S3 resume problem.
Improve performance for DDR266.
Improve POST speed when USB mouse installed.
Fix no warning beep if there is no VGA card installed.
Fix BIOS will not show DMA item with UDMA4 DVD-ROM.

I'm running a 3000+ K8Vdel, and a radeon 9700 too, and the max FSB I got so far was 222mhz. That's when freaky stuff was starting to happen, 3dmark score going down, and the system felt slow too. Didn't try any harder yet. :)

Im running 240 async now, Prime95 stable. BUT!
This board undervolts my vcore by atleast 0.1v ! When set to add 0.3v in BIOS, the ASUS Probe shows 1.68v? Thats terrible, ill have to do a vmod. Its stable at 2400 mhz though, load temp around 43C.

What revision is your 9700 pro? In the motherboard book it states a problem with 9500/9700 series cards below rev 30. I had a rev 11 and had to get rid of it. I now run a softmoded 9500 rev 30 and it goes up to 240 without a problem.

I have a PN 109-94200-01 (club3d 9700np) and it runs fine on my k8v del. My previous P4c800 stated the same thing you mentioned in the manual but I've never had problems running the same card in that mobo either. The only boards it wouldn't run fine on where E7205(granite bay) boards namely the p4g8x&8inxp.

I don't know why the card would'nt run past 227 on my system. It had no problem at an agp of 80 on another system.
