Hi I got a locked Barton that is caping out around 2300 witch is 210 fsb but i also got a tbred that runs 2300 but with my mem i can run it on 220 fsb,
would like to hear oppinons wich would be better
512kb cash on 210 fsb or 256kb cash on 220 fsb
ps: benching both and then deciding isn't really an option since the tbred is in my wifes comp and she'll kick my a.. if i screw around with her comp any more :)

Barton is about 10% better clock for clock then a Tbred. You do the math :)

Barton gets my vote on that... but the T-bred runs with less voltage and cooler most of the time.

10%? I think that´s quite optimistic...I´d say around 5% (and often less)!

Its been tested by the OCAU Folding team. Same protein, using an XP2400, and a Barton set to 2ghz, saw an incremental decrease in frame times.
Nothing earth shattering, but it is there.
